Aishwarya Rai decides to make a comeback
As a regular on the ‘World’s Most Beautiful Women’ list, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan was heavily carped by the media for not losing the post-partum weight fast enough. But Ash showed no sign of concern about this and seemed to really enjoy her first maternity leave.
Recently however, there’s a buzz in the industry about the Bachchan bahu making a comeback in showbiz. She has started working out religiously to shed the weight she had earlier gained. “She has resumed her yoga sessions and is also focusing on some functional training at home,” says a source close to the Bachchans.
Reports state that Ash has recently been in talks with two big filmmakers, one of which is of course, her all-time favourite, Mani Ratnam. “There has been talk of her doing Mani Ratnam’s adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier’s classic novel, ‘Rebecca’, and it is possible that she will accept Karan Johar’s remake of ‘Bemisal’, but nothing has been finalised yet. If things work out with these two offers, she is likely to be back in the studios by mid-2013,” adds the source.
In fact, with her ad shoots now on in full swing, Ash is already back in the studios and prefers Mehboob Studios as her first choice for shooting. Although she was a protective mother for the first year of Aaradhya’s life, she is now secure enough to leave her for a few hours at a time. Aaradhya, being 14 months old now, can manage on her own, so Ash apparently drops her off at mom Vrinda Rai’s home in suburban Bandra while she’s shooting. That’s good to hear. We do expect more from you than just being a mother and wife, Ash!
